Jackie Nichols as Colonel Reb (1964-65)

 

JACKIE NICHOLS as "The Martian" as he was named in the 1965 Rebel Rouser.  Jackie won the talent contest while dancing to "Whistle a Happy Tune."  Many of you asked to see the picture and here it is........photo donated by Sonja Ungren.

Since the class of 1965 didn't have a Senior Prom, we thought you might enjoy seeing some pictures from the 1964 prom.  We have several '65 grads pictured in the photos.....recognize any of them?  (Photo donated by Sonja Ungren)

Colonial Junior High School.  Several graduates went to
Colonial and asked to see photos of the old school.  These were taken in November 2004.  Many "grads" went to Sherwood Junior High.......I'll try to get take those pictures as soon as possible.   Donated by Sonja Ungren.

 

Sherwood Junior High - 2005 .....Many OHS graduates attended 7th-8th-& 9th grades here....photos by Sonja Ungren.

Colonial Elementary, Sea Isle Elementary, Sherwood Elementary - 2005.......these schools were located in the area not far from Overton.  Many OHS graduates attended them.

Overton class of 1964, 40th reunion photo....August 2004.  We have one '65 graduate who attended sitting in the middle seated on the floor (Jim Moss).

Alma Mater - Overton High School.  This picture was scanned from the 10th reunion directory held in 1975 at the Tennessee Club in Memphis.  Donated by Sonja Ungren.

This #45 record titled "Meet Me After School," was recorded by our own 1965 Overton graduate, Tony Rossini in 1962.  He recorded several records at Sun Recording Studio in the 60's.  He is also listed on the discography history of Sun Studios.  Tony also sang some of his songs with the band at our 20th OHS Reunion at the Peabody Hotel Skyway in Memphis in 1985. We have solved the mystery of the #25 Overton Basketball jersey...Joann Davis Akins looked it up in the 1963 Rebel Rouser...it is: "Robert John Heidbrink". (Item donated by Ralph Stagg -  Photographed by Sonja Ungren)
