How time flies!  After a two year tour from a naval base just outside of Tokyo Japan I returned to Memphis State to finish my degree.  Then in 1971, I went to Madrid Spain and studied music and recorder at the Madrid Royal Conservatory. After finishing up there I began playing in various wood wind quartets and in 1987 I set up my own recorder workshop and since then have been making recorders.

I play a lot of tennis and tennis tournaments however I am starting to cut back a bit because as you probably know, dear readers,  top body performance at our age has more or less peaked.  When I do get back to Memphis I  keep in touch with my old amigo Terry Cox and we always have some gruelingly hot summer tennis matches however lately the agony of defeat seems to have damped his competitive spirit.
