FORTY YEARS!! Life really flies by, doesn't it? I have so many thoughts and memories about the "old days" at Overton, and I'm SO sad that we can't make it to the reunion. My husband and I spend much of our "away" time from home as short-term missionaries at a children's home in Guatemala , and our trip this year is in July. I will be anxious to hear about the reunion and to see pix! I graduated from Union University , married almost 36 years ago to my "soul mate", Jimmy, taught school, and had 4 children who have blessed us so far with 4 grandchildren and 1 on the way! In 2001, I suffered a stroke which left me with left-sided deficits. I manage well with a leg brace and quad-cane, plus a much needed wheelchair. Praise God, I am right-handed, and am still learning to compensate in other ways for my left hand. You may remember my mother, Catherine Wilkins, who was our Guidance Counselor. She is a lively 80-year-old, living in Nashville , where my brother, "Son" - really David - also lives. He was in the class if '67, and has recently moved home from the mission field in Cyprus , Jordan , and France . The picture here is of the three of us, taken at mother's birthday celebration. I look forward to the reunion reports!
